Heaven + Earth

This was the central message of an intelligent and passionate devotional thought presented by Dan Cooper at last night’s inaugural Worship 12:1 service. Will we stop consuming “church” as a passive seat-warmer and start getting serious about giving deeply of ourselves to the Lord and to others as He commands. The answer? A resounding “YES” from the enthusiastic crowd who came out for the sole purpose of worshiping God in spirit and truth through music and prayer last night. What an anointed evening!

For those who were in attendance, don’t let the fire go out on the altar of your worship as you go about your weekly tasks and life away from this building. It is in the mundane details of day-to-day life that our attitudes of worship through service and self-sacrifice matter most. Remember what Jesus told Peter three times when the disciple was asked to express his love for his Saviour - “Feed my lambs…take care of my sheep…feed my sheep”

There is no need to ask over and over again, “God, what do you want from me?” The answer is simple. He wants YOU - all of you. He wants you to love Him. And He wants you to love others. This is the essence of 12:1 worship. Thanks everyone for a great evening and thanks especially to the band, Life Hereafter, and all of the volunteers who worked long hours to get the old Life Centre in tip top shape. Your service is part of your ongoing sacrifice of praise and it does not go unnoticed!
